Yohaku Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This policy is provided for residents of Washington, Nevada and other U.S. states with consumer health data laws. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes our practices in full. If anything here differs from the Privacy Policy, this document controls for consumer health data of residents of those states.
The short version: Yohaku is a local-first app. Your health data is stored on your device, not on our servers — we run no servers with user data and cannot see your records. Nothing is shared with anyone unless you explicitly turn on the optional AI features. We never sell health data and we show no advertising.
1. Categories of consumer health data collected
When you use the app, you may enter the following categories of consumer health data, which the app processes on your device only:
- individual health conditions and symptoms (perimenopause/menopause symptoms and their intensity);
- information about bodily functions (menstrual cycle data);
- medications you choose to log;
- lifestyle information related to health (sleep, stress, alcohol, caffeine, sugar, spicy food, exercise);
- free-text notes you write;
- optional profile details: a display name (a pseudonym is fine) and an optional birth year;
- data derived on-device from the above: statistical correlations, a menopause-stage estimate and cycle predictions.
We — the developer — do not collect this data to any server. It is stored in a local database on your device, is excluded from Android cloud backup, and leaves the device only through actions you take yourself (export, sharing a report, or the optional AI features below).
2. Sources of consumer health data
One source: you. All data is entered by you in the app or derived on-device from what you entered. We do not obtain health data from third parties, data brokers, or other apps.
3. Purposes of collection and use
Data is processed solely to provide the app's functionality that you request: keeping your diary, finding statistical connections between lifestyle factors and symptoms, estimating your stage, predicting your cycle, generating a doctor report, and — only if you enable them — the optional AI features. We do not use health data for advertising, marketing, analytics, or profiling for any other purpose.
4. Categories of data shared and third parties
By default, nothing is shared with anyone.
If — and only if — you subscribe and give separate, explicit consent, the optional AI features send the following to our processors:
- the text of your question (in the AI chat);
- the anonymised summaries you select item by item: detected correlations, lifestyle averages, cycle aggregates, recent daily numbers; your birth year only if you enable it separately.
Free-text notes and your profile name are never sent. You can inspect the exact content before sending.
The third parties involved are:
- Anthropic, PBC (USA) — processes the request to generate the AI response; under its commercial API terms the data is not used to train models and is retained up to 30 days (anthropic.com/legal/privacy);
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — operates our technical proxy; it relays requests and does not store their contents (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).
We have no affiliates. We do not sell consumer health data and have never sold it. We do not share health data for advertising.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- know and access your health data — it is visible on the app's screens and exportable to JSON at any time;
- withdraw consent for the AI features at any time in the app's AI data settings; transfers stop immediately;
- delete your data — selectively or fully in the app's settings, or by uninstalling the app. For deletion of data already processed by Anthropic within its retention window, contact us and we will pass the request to Anthropic;
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights — the non-AI parts of the app work identically either way.
To exercise any right or ask questions, email support@yohakutrack.com. We respond within 45 days.
Appeals (Washington residents). If we refuse to act on your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject “Appeal”. We will respond within 45 days. If your appeal is unsuccessful, you may contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
6. Who we are

7. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date. Material changes will be announced in the app.
